This adult beaver is standing up on its hind legs. It is gnawing on tree bark and the growing (cambium) layer of a tree (elm tree, maybe) at the Needham Reservoir, a suburb of Boston. This fall photo features red and yellow leaves in the water and on the tree.

I've used cameras since I was 10 years old, yet it is only in the past 10 years that I wanted to share my view with others. While I love shooting soccer games, it was a close up encounter with a red wing blackbird that made me want you to share these visions.
