I believe this dragonfly is also a Globe Skimmer, also called the Wandering Glider (Pantala flavescens). Its wings reach for the sky as it delicately balances on the head of a clover flower among weeds and grasses by the side of a road. Shot with Panasonic Z28 at the local dump.

I've used cameras since I was 10 years old, yet it is only in the past 10 years that I wanted to share my view with others. While I love shooting soccer games, it was a close up encounter with a red wing blackbird that made me want you to share these visions. I am always amazed at how detailed and vibrant are the colors of even the most common and plain bird, plant, flower, butterfly, or ant.
