I believe this is a Wandering Glider, also known as the Globe Skimmer dragonfly. Wikipedia claims, "It is considered to be the most widespread dragonfly on the planet." It may not look like much as it speeds by you, but on close examination, it has varied and interesting markings. Amazing what Mother Nature gives us! Shot with Panasonic Z28.

I've used cameras since I was 10 years old, yet it is only in the past 10 years that I wanted to share my view with others. While I love shooting soccer games, it was a close up encounter with a red wing blackbird that made me want you to share these visions. I am always amazed at how detailed and vibrant are the colors of even the most common and plain bird, plant, flower, butterfly, or ant. Nature gives us amazing wildlife to see, even in our own backyards. I hope you experience the same joy while looking at my images that I felt while capturing these critters in my camera.
